We solve environmental problems encumbering shrimp, fish and other aquaculture operations.
Farming fish, shrimp, and other seafood takes a toll on the pen areas. The feeding of the stock and subsequent waste, foul the pens or ponds, resulting in lower oxygen levels and subsequent reduced yields. This requires farmers to routinely abandon polluted sites or move floating pens; a significant cost to the farmer and society.
Feed and waste byproducts are consuming so much oxygen in the water that continually reduced amounts of oxygen are available for the stock. Homeport’s Oxyfusion platforms are a real solution for this issue, bringing oxygen levels and subsequent yields up while reducing the need to abandon pens and ponds. This represents a material productive and cost advantage for the aquaculture farmer.

The development of Ultrafine Bubble technology, in the past two decades and the subsequent commercialization of the technology, allows the aquaculture industry to make economically viable choices to treat and maintain their water systems. Ultrafine Bubbles are micro/Nano-scope gaseous domains that form at the interface between solid and liquid. Ultrafine Bubbles possess characteristics differentiating them from ordinary micro and macro bubbles. These characteristics cause them to be effective in cleaning organic and inorganic pollutants throughout the water column and within the sediments of aquaculture infrastructure.
Homeport’s proprietary Ultrafine Bubble technology produces trillions of Ultrafine Bubbles
In combination with ionization, UV light, Ozone and other potential gasses and advanced filtering technology we can deliver an environmental friendly, chemical and heavy metal free cleaning solution. The technology can be used either in a submersible or land based deployment. Contact Homeport to discuss your particular cleaning and aquaculture issues and let us help you understand this profound change in cleaning technology.
The health and metabolic rates of shrimp and fish can be severely affected by the concentration of oxygen in a rearing environment. Suppressed dissolved oxygen levels leads to decreased respiration and feeding activity which slows down growth rates. It can also lead to disease and fungal infections that can wipe out significant percentage of stock. If correctly applied, oxygen supplementation ensures that shrimp farmers can achieve the highest possible survival rates under optimum breeding conditions to boost yield and profits.
Level of Oxygen Saturation & Effects:
30-40%: MASSIVE mortality rates
45-55%: High rate of Mortality, no appetite
60-75%: Low Mortality Rate, no appetite
Above 85%: No Negative effects
Ultrafine Bubble oxygenated water doubled production of shrimp and tilapia while decreasing mortality rate from 45% to 5% without the use of pharmaceuticals.
Field tests with Tilipia grown in Oxyfused water have shown that it is possible to achieve weight growth rate up to 1.5 times higher than that of fish raised in normal conditions in 30% less time.
Shrimp that have been raided in Oxyfused water have shown that it is possible to achieve weight growth rate up to 40% higher than that of shrimp raised in normal conditions in 30% less time.
Without the use of chemicals.
